Hello Vijay, Cholesterol is a substance that is present in our blood and is needed for the formation of healthy cells. But when the level of cholesterol increases beyond the normal values then it may lead to health issues. The excessive cholesterol may get deposited in the blood vessels which results in narrowing their lumen and later may leads to other health risks like cardiac issues. Reasons for high cholesterol: A sedentary lifestyle. It may be inherited also. Having fatty foods. Smoking. Diabetes. Lack of exercise. Obesity. Stress. Diet to follow: Have a low fat and a low salt diet that includes fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Have apples, grapes, strawberries as they are rich in pectin and helps to lower the LDL. Include soybeans in your diet as they also help in lowering cholesterol. Include nuts, beans, sprouts, salads to your diet. Have whole grains like barley, millets, oats. Have okra as it has soluble fiber. Drink 8-10 glasses of water during the day. Foods to avoid: Avoid sugar and sugary foods. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Avoid oily and spicy food items. Avoid processed foods and packaged foods. Avoid tea and coffee. Avoid carbonated drinks. Avoid fatty foods. Physical activity: Performing physical activity is also important for maintaining normal level of cholesterol. It may in the form of yoga, exercise or any sports. Start your morning with a short morning walk or jogging for atleast 30 minutes. Do plank for 3 to 5 minutes. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily. Do bhujanga asana, paschimottan asana, gomukha asana, sarvanga asana, padahasta asana daily (under expert guidance) Do kapalbhati pranayam. Take walks after every meal, for 15 minutes. Sleep: Sleep is also important for the body and mind. It provides rest to the body and mind and also bursts all the stress. Sleep for atleast 7-8hours daily. The reason you are diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in both the disease causes our body the effect of inflammation leading to pain and discomfort. Hypothyroid plays a major role even in low vitamin B12 as it causes the nutrients to absorb less, and that is again causing sluggishness in our body to an extent that the cholesterol is rising. In yoga, we call it due to consumption of 'tamasik' diet like cheese, milk products and rotten fermented food we tend to get this type of energy in our body. Your body needs a lighter type of food to regain its natural process and that is how we can help you. By following a natural way we can definitely treat the cause. Eat: A good amount of water is needed in the body, 5-6 liters of water is at least needed in the body, the blood is there 5-6 liters so at least that much of water is needed in the body. Cholesterol increases with increase of inflammation in the body. Identify the cause of inflammation and remove it. Cholesterol is to heal inflammation so please do not take medication to decrease inflammation as the body will bounce back with higher cholesterol to heal inflammation. Food that causes inflammation.:- 1. Dairy. 2. Refined oil. 3. Refined sugar. 4. Preservatives in packaged foods. 5. Smoking and alcoholic beverages. 6. Lot of medication. You can reverse high cholesterol in 30 days. Go on only fruits and raw vegetables for 30 days. After that focus on lifestyle change. Fatty liver is of two types - alcoholic and non- alcoholic. Alcoholic is self explanatory, Non-Alcoholic is invariably associated with diet rich in refined oil, fats and high medication. Body having gone through high inflammation stores fats in liver for emergency. So go on fasting regularly to enable the body to use this reserve.
