Fresh and seasonal raw fruits and vegetables grown locally are the most suitable food. Raw vegan diet means only fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and soaked groundnuts, chana, moong etc. They can be eaten as salads or individual fruits or consumed in form or juices smoothies. Why vegan? Because our digestive system is designed in such a way that it can digest plant based food faster than animal based foods. Animal based foods including milk and curd are highly mucous forming and toxin forming. Meat takes so much time to be processed through our intestines that by the ti

Well! jaggery is certainly a less refined food item than the regular white sugar. It is still sweet! Anyone who substitutes white sugar with jaggery still needs to do it in moderation. A diabetic needs to be all the more cautious. Your uncle must always make any dietary changes in consultation with the doctor only.

I know someone (a close relative) who had gestational diabetes with her firstborn. She managed it well with diet and exercise. Infact, during her second pregnancy, she did not get Gestational diabetes. Few things that I think worked in her case were - reducing simple carbs, consuming more wholegrains, including healthy sources of protein and staying active.
My husband has diabetes (type 2) for last 10 years and hypertensive for last 20 years. He gets mouth ulcers frequently. This is a problem since childhood but now aggravated. How can i take special care for diet to keep him and his heart healthy?

Please tell him to exercise daily. He should do light exercise, based on his comfort. Deep breathing is very good as it helps eliminate toxins through breath. Also sufficient amount of oxygen reach all the cells of the body & that promotes cellular health. If cells are healthy, they can do all body functions properly & then we are healthy.

Hello User, Rheumatoid arthritis occurs when excessive toxins get accumulated in the body. Following a wrong lifestyle, eating wrong foods, not doing any physical activity, hormonal imbalance, and incorrect sleeping pattern leads to a disturbed metabolism which results in toxin accumulation in the body. Local application Firstly you need to understand that the pain in rheumatoid arthritis is not like other pains. Usually people apply oil or do massage to get releif from pain but in rheumatoid arthritis application of oil will aggravate the pain because here the pain is due to the formation of ama (toxins). Mix sand and rock salt in equal parts and warm it in a vessel. Roll it in any cloth ( make a potli of it) and apply this heat pack on the areas of pain. Foods to eat- Start the day with a glass of warm water with lemon juice in it. This will help to improve the metabolism and to flush out the toxins out of the body. Drink green tea twice a day, one in the morning on an empty stomach and the other at night before sleeping. Eat only plant-based natural foods. Include salads, nuts, beans, and sprouts in your diet. Eat soaked dry fruits to get the easily absorbable nutrients. Drink coconut water. Drink plenty of water during the day to eliminate the toxins out of the body. Foods to avoid- Avoid dairy products like ghee, milk, paneer, curd, etc. Avoid animal foods. Avoid carbonated drinks. Avoid processed, packaged, oily, and spicy foods. Avoid tea, coffee, and other caffeinated drinks. Exercise Being physically active is very essential for good metabolism. Start your day with a short morning walk. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily. Perform yoga asanas like bhujanga asana, trikona asana, padahasta asana, hala asana. Do pranayam daily, specially anulom-vilom and kapalbhati pranayam. Take sunrays early in the morning for 15 to 20 minutes daily. Sleep Sleep helps to maintain the circadian rhythm and also hormonal balances. Hence, taking proper sleep is very important. Take proper sleep of at least 7-8hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Avoid electronic equipment at least 1hour before sleeping for an increased quality of sleep. Thank you

Hello Reetu, Any issue in the body arises from the toxin accumulation, hormonal imbalances and the imbalances of panchamahabhut which is the basic ingredient of this body. The reason for this is our activities like consumption of processed, packaged foods, not taking fresh air and sunlight, disturbed sleeping patterns, etc. Anybody can experience tremendous changes in their health by following just simple rules which are essential for everyone. Foods to eat The food that you eat, 40 to 50% of it should be in raw form. If you eat dead food how can expect to be alive. The body has to raise the dead to get the nutrients which means more work needs to be done by the body and hence more pressure is created. So, eat raw and fresh food. Start the day with 3 to 4 glasses of warm water on an empty stomach. This will help to detoxify the body. Eat only plant-based natural foods. Include sprouts, salads, nuts, and beans. Have soaked raisins and other dry fruits. Include fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables. Drink coconut water. Have while grains like barley, millets, oats, etc. Drink sufficient water during the day to be hydrated. Foods to avoid Avoid processed and packaged foods. Avoid tea, coffee, and other caffeinated drinks. Avoid carbonated drinks. Avoid dairy food items and animal foods. Avoid refined grains, refined sugars, and refined oil as it may worsen the condition. Avoid oily and spicy foods. Yoga and pranayam Yoga and pranayam are very effective in vitiligo. They improve blood circulation in the body. Perform pranayam for 15-20 min daily, specially Bhramri, Sitkari, Sitali, Nadishodhan and Kapalbhati pranayam. Do suryanamaskar daily. Do some asana also like bhujanga asana, trikona asana, gomukha asana. Sleep Sleep plays an important role in maintaining the circadian rhythm and hormonal balance. Hence, take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Thank you

How to reduce cholesterol?
Wellcure
05:20 PM | 17-03-2021
Dear Parvez, Let us begin by first understanding what is cholesterol. Cholesterol is a wax-like fatty substance that is produced by the liver. Cholesterol is produced to assist our body in building its cell membranes, many hormones like testosterone and estrogen, fat-dissolving bile acids and vitamin D. The body produces the amount of cholesterol that it needs for its functioning. The blood gets its cholesterol from two sources - one is produced by the liver and the intestines itself and the other source is any food that we consume, be it seeds, nuts, meat, poultry, dairy etc. Like with all other functions and components, our body has mechanisms to maintain the desired level of cholesterol. However, when our body is overloaded with toxins it is unable to eliminate excess cholesterol from the bloodstream. One can definitely reverse high levels of cholesterol to normal by adopting a natural lifestyle. We suggest you take a personal consultation with our Natural Health Coach who can understand your background better & give you an action plan. You can explore our Natural Health Coaching Program for the same. We will guide you on diet, sleep, exercise, stress, etc to correct your existing routine & make it in line with Natural Laws. Hello, Hepatomegaly is an enlarged liver, which means it is swollen beyond its usual size. Inflammation or fatty liver may be due to following reasons - Obesity An infection like hepatitis B or hepatitis C. Alcohol Toxins Genetic disorders Thickening of the bowel wall may be caused by several pathological conditions like some infections, injury, etc. When the liver is unable to breakdown the fat as it normally does, then it leads to the accumulation of fats. Eating excessive fatty foods, high cholesterol levels also lead to fatty liver. Some health conditions like obesity, diabetes, etc may also be the reason for fatty liver. What is the difference between grains, pulses and legumes? Which ones are more acidic?
Smitha Hemadri
08:36 AM | 24-02-2021
Grains - Grain examples are rice millets ( ragi jowar bajra etc) quinoa corn all are grains If you are having doubt regarding are pulses grains, then I should tell you that pulses are part of the legume family (any plants that grow in pods), but the term “pulse” refers only to the dry edible seed within the pod. Beans, lentils, chickpeas and split peas are the most common types of pulses. Sprouts and microgreens - any pulse or seed that can be germinated into a small shoot is a sprout. It has the qualities of the seed Microgreen is the next step and grows 2 true leaves . These leaves are inside the seed and they are the first 2 leaves that are formed. Beyond this the seed does not have the nutrition for that plant. This microgreens are better than the sprouts bcoz it has been doing photosynthesis in addition to carrying the quality of the seed. ———— Grains - Grains first of all are not human foods bcoz we can’t really chew and eat it. We need to process it further to consume it. One might ask that ancestors lived healthy on grains and why is it that grains are the bad food now. Grains especially like wheat corn for example are favourite foods for some of the pathogens that cause havoc in the body. The pathogens did come bcoz one carried toxins due to a lifestyle, but the grains such as above makes it worse. They are food for the pathogen and the pathogen releases neurotoxins to make the inflammation worse. If someone does not have this pathogen which is quite rare in the recent generations then even if they eat the grain they may not see an adverse effect. So it’s quite possible that the ancestors first off did not have as much toxic living conditions as we do.. so they did eat things like breads or rice or wheat and still lived a 100 in some cases. If they caught a problem in their later stages then their living conditions invited the pathogen and the food habits added fuel to them. So if you are suffering from a chronic or a destructive disease then you have to avoid foods that become food to the pathogen. The grain itself does not have any poisons to kill us. So diabetes thyroid neuralgia eczema cancer osteoporosis gut issues autism adhd tics things like this are usually chronic to destructive toxaemic conditions and are already home to the pathogens and hence its best to avoid the grains. We say it’s acidic bcoz it causes an unfavourable condition for the body .. so it’s not a positive food. If the condition is acute and you have issues on and off, then it’s best to make a 70-30 with 70 raw and 30 cooked including whole grains. The pathogens may not be strong enough to fight that 70%. Body will have enough vitality reserves to fight back. Among grains the best to consume are millets and next is rice and in USA quinoa / millets. If it’s inorganic it’s quite possible that the pesticides like ddt might carry arsenic. So it’s best to go for organic ones if one can afford. Again, we need the fibre to be intact . So it’s best to eat it whole if at all we have. Fruits - fruits are the best thing that has happened to mankind. If one lives on more fruits in their life their health and longevity is guaranteed on a bond paper by god . They have starch fats carbs everything we need to survive . They detox the body very well Vegetables help in the building of the body. They are more complex compared to fruits, but we need them in our daily life. They have everything to make our survival complete. Greens - are again the next best. Rich in suns energy. They have all the beneficial bacteria on them to improve our microbiome in the gut. Probiotics and fermented foods are nothing in front of these. Legumes - fresh in season right off the pod is great. Next best is to soak it and eat it. If steamed then soak it and prepare it for germination and steam it Pulses - are dried legumes, processed and made to halves. Soaking also won’t germinate them. So they are incomplete.. but it’s ok and not as bad to avoid relatively. Again can be steamed and had.. but not all pulses can be consumed after germination or steaming as is. So in a nutshell. Food quality and what body can take is always relative. When compared to something , something else is better . So what you choose as your food is always relative based on the toxicity you carry in the body at any point when you got this awareness. We may ask someone to eat a whole food plant based meal with grains included once, bcoz for them it’s ok to just quit the negative foods they eat or living conditions and still heal. So always make that priority based on your condition and not bcoz some food will give some benefits. Food does not act on body.. body chooses to act on food and derive the best or not from it. Thumb rule is to see if it’s as close to natural and can be consumed as is.
Nuts which are healthy and generally recommended are acidic or alkaline?
PSYsolution by Kalyan
08:44 PM | 22-02-2021
Nuts are concentrated foods and require a lot of VITALITY in its digestion/assimilation process. We need nuts very less (5% of the total food consumption, consumable weight-wise). Ideally, nuts should be consumed after soaking in water for few hours to make it softer and reduce the vitality-consumption. Please refer the following note on pH scale. In brief, let us understand what is a ph of nuts: Science has introduced a logarithmic scale to specify the acidity or basicity/alkalinity of an aqueous solution. Acidity and Basicity/Alkalinity are two opposite properties of an aqueous solution. Like everything else, in Nature, aqueous solutions too try to achieve a homeostatic state or the state neutrality. The neutral state of a solution is pure Water. In pH scale the value of water as defined is 7. Below 7, all the solutions are acidic and above 7, are basic/alkaline. Acid and Alkaline always try to neutralize each other to become water. The pH value of blood is approx 7.4. That means it is almost neutral being slightly basic/alkaline. In diseased condition the pH value becomes more than 7, usually. With this understanding we confuse ourselves by concluding that we need to make our blood alkaline to have better state of wellness! It is another superstition! If we make our blood highly alkaline that is also a health hazard! Change in pH value or its Alkalinity or acidity in blood is an EFFECT of health. The CAUSE is somewhere else! Addressing the EFFECTSinstead of addressing the CAUSE, is a limited and shallow approach. We cannot carry a pH strip with us to measure the pH value of food that we choose to eat! Nature has sketched an excellent indicator to identify the right food. THE VOICE OF THE ORGANISM (V/O) is that indicator. The taste sensation is one of the major executions of V/O. Other important V/O in identifying the right food are smell, sight etc. The first condition is the food should be in its natural state without any modification; then we need to use our V/O to identify if it is beneficial for us. We should feel good about the food in terms of its smell, sight and taste. If it feels good, it is good for us. Simple! We can skip bothering about pH values. Thank you...
