My toddler's potty has become extremely stinky since last few days. No major change in food, except that I put him almost off dairy. What can be the reason? He eats a lot of fruits & also veggie soups.

You must share the age of your child when post these question. Whatever the age may be, CONGRATULATIONS! The toxins are thrown out by your child. The stinky toxins are better thrown away, than to keep inside! Eating a lot of fruits and veggie always helps mankind to conserve a lot of VITALITY*. For your child, that CONSERVED VITALITY is being shown in expulsion. 'Being off-dairy' is definitely another reason of conserving more VITALITY*. These could be old toxins which are being thrown! Otherwise, please keep a watch on your child, in case she is enervated in any of the routes of INPUTS, ACTIVITIES & THOUGHTS. The state of ENERVATION* sometime turn a good food into toxins. As conscious parent you must facilitate optimum conservation of VITALITY* in your child. You may also check our recent article on the above* terminology, in case you are new to Nature Cure science. Can my diet have an impact on my Virtigo episodes?

Thanks for your question! Let us understand what is vertigo, first! It is a sense of loss of balance. Commonly known as giddiness, also! Why do we lose balance? Balance is an effect of free flow of blood within the body. If the FREE FLOW is obstructed, the balance may get affected. How the free flow of the blood gets affect in the body? If the blood is toxin-laden, its flow is affected. The toxins is retained in the blood, when it is not eliminated on a regular basis. The toxin elimination gets affected due to lack of conserved VITALITY within the body. We have defined quantum of VITALITY, uniquely, within the body. If we overspend our VITALITY, we lose the QUOTA OF CONSERVED VITALITY within the body. This state is called ENERVATED STATE. In enervated state, our elimination gets affected. When we adopt CONSISTENT CONSERVATION OF VITALITY, our elimination gets restored. Blood gets purified, then. Vertigo goes away, then! THE CONSISTENT VITALITY CONSERVATION happens through these lifestyle choices, on a regular basis: RIGHT FOOD HABITS, BALANCED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDING QUALITY SLEEP and STRESS-FREE MENTAL ENVIRONMENT. Hence yes, your diet is an important part in this process. Consumption of more and more fruits will restore the VITALITY CONSERVATION, to start with. Thank you... Hi! While it may not click with our rationale immediately, I read in an article that skin health like our overall health is deeply related to sleep as well. It is highly recommended that we get a peaceful, good night's sleep of 8 hours, in complete darkness, on a daily basis. May be that's why its called beauty sleep! The logic is, sleep is the time when your body does all the repair and correction work. That applies to the skin as well - the body would work on the skin to get rid of dry cells and replenish with new cells. So try getting good sleep, regularly!
Greens in Honey-Lemon Dressing - up your raw quotient!
Green leaves can be turned into yummy salad. If possible source them fresh. Where possible source them organically. Keep it seasonal, so spinach & lettuce are great in winters while red & green cholai can be used easily in summers Dress them up with easy honey-lemon dressing!

Some kids like to have soaked nuts, that’s a great starter for the day. Else, a couple of other ways that we have seen work are – nut paste added to soups or curries, nut powders added to vegetables or a simple dal-chawal meal or you could try making dry-fruit smoothie.
Should I be using ghee for tadka instead of oil?
Mayuri Goswami
11:21 AM | 16-11-2018
Contrary to popular belief, doing a ghee tadka may not be the best thing. There are two facts about ghee: It’s a processed food not whole food, neither raw and that its derived from dairy (so quality is always doubtful, especially these days) Most of our tadkas can be done without oil or ghee, but ofcourse our houses usually will have other people involved in kitchen (maids / parents etc.) So getting everybody on board may be tough! So if you must use, then use cold pressed oils – a wide variety – keep changing every 2 months. If you must use ghee (which may not be needed for true health), then add it on top.
Hi moms, my daughter has been coughing from last 15-20 days in mornings and at night. The doc says it’s because of the allergies and not due to cold. I believe in natural home remedies and usually give her nutmeg and liquorice powder with honey and it helped her in past. Since this cough and congestion is not due to cold am not giving her these now. Can anyone recommend tried and tested remedies or safe medicines for chest congestion and cough. Thanks

Through cough and colds, esp nagging ones, the body is demanding a lot of rest. So, focus on her rest. Since she will be having disturbed sleep at night, make sure she is able to nap in afternoon in dark or call it an earlier night for next 15 days. Wind down, have aroma baths for her in evening. Keep her in dim lights in evening before you sleep. Because only in rest mode will the body repair. If she has a bad coughing spell at 3-4 am, keep her hydrated through soaked raisins. If you can afford keep her off school and allow her to rest do so.

My husband has diabetes (type 2) for last 10 years and hypertensive for last 20 years. He gets mouth ulcers frequently. This is a problem since childhood but now aggravated. How can i take special care for diet to keep him and his heart healthy?

Please tell him to exercise daily. He should do light exercise, based on his comfort. Deep breathing is very good as it helps eliminate toxins through breath. Also sufficient amount of oxygen reach all the cells of the body & that promotes cellular health. If cells are healthy, they can do all body functions properly & then we are healthy.

Its ready in no more than 15 minutes and is extremely filling. Could be used as a meal replacement as well! Indulge in this colourful and flavorful cabbage salad!

Hi, Any home remedy for pink eye in kids caused by viral infection? Thanks!!
Anchal Kapur

By pink eye, I assume u mean conjunctivitis? Conjunctivitis is an inflammation in the eyes due to dust, pollen or germs in the air. When any of these interfere with the conjunctivia of the eyes, our body releases antibodies to deal with these foreign invaders. This is an absolutely normal body function and we should be grateful that body is trying to protect us from foreign particles ?. Symptoms such as itching, watery eyes, etc are body’s way of dealing with unwanted materials. Staying aligned to nature’s laws will help eyes restore their balance. Here are a few things you could do for your child- 1. He/she should Eat light as when body gets digestive rest, it can focus more on healing. Fruits, fruit juices, coconut water, nimboo paani. If he/she feels hungry after these, u could do veggie juices, soups and salads. Any other type of food to be strictly avoided. If there is an urge to eat cooked food, give simple khichdi. 2. Clean eyes with clean water every few hours. 3. put rose water or haldi water eyepads. Both have anti inflammatory properties. Boil water, add haldi, let it cool, dip cotton, squeeze and put on kid’s eyes. You could also use rose water eye drops, but ensure good quality organic rose water. 4. Very important - sun gazing - Make ur child look at the early morning sun. It shouldn’t be harsh, use your judgment. And if in doubt, just sit in sun. If child is very uncomfortable, do show him to a doc and continue to support child’s body naturally through the above. Good luck dear.
