First of all, congrats on deciding to detox. Can i ask what steps have you taken to detox ? Is this a lifestyle change / diet for sometime ? When you go healthy in whatever way you have chosen, your body eliminates the toxins you wanted to shed. However, how and when it will shed is not known to anyone. This is called the healing crisis period and you must expect all the unexpected issues including emotional outbursts at this time. The advice is to not think "medicinal" and supress that with herbal / any form of drinks. Instead continue the healthy lifestyle and let the body do its job. When we decide to detox, we must also decide to stop thinking "medicine" that relieves the discomfort. In the continual process of removing such discomforts, our bodies become abused and collect toxins. So we must get out of this mindset of stopping the elimination.

Hi, Any home remedy for pink eye in kids caused by viral infection? Thanks!!
Anchal Kapur
12:30 PM | 25-11-2018
By pink eye, I assume u mean conjunctivitis? Conjunctivitis is an inflammation in the eyes due to dust, pollen or germs in the air. When any of these interfere with the conjunctivia of the eyes, our body releases antibodies to deal with these foreign invaders. This is an absolutely normal body function and we should be grateful that body is trying to protect us from foreign particles ?. Symptoms such as itching, watery eyes, etc are body’s way of dealing with unwanted materials. Staying aligned to nature’s laws will help eyes restore their balance. Here are a few things you could do for your child- 1. He/she should Eat light as when body gets digestive rest, it can focus more on healing. Fruits, fruit juices, coconut water, nimboo paani. If he/she feels hungry after these, u could do veggie juices, soups and salads. Any other type of food to be strictly avoided. If there is an urge to eat cooked food, give simple khichdi. 2. Clean eyes with clean water every few hours. 3. put rose water or haldi water eyepads. Both have anti inflammatory properties. Boil water, add haldi, let it cool, dip cotton, squeeze and put on kid’s eyes. You could also use rose water eye drops, but ensure good quality organic rose water. 4. Very important - sun gazing - Make ur child look at the early morning sun. It shouldn’t be harsh, use your judgment. And if in doubt, just sit in sun. If child is very uncomfortable, do show him to a doc and continue to support child’s body naturally through the above. Good luck dear.
My lips & skin are feeling very dry. What can be done?

Hi all, our bodies signal even the minutest one is actually body’s greatest communication tool. It is telling you that you need to do some correction. Our body maintains an acid-alkaline balance, and every time we put more load on the body through wrong foods, late hours, no time to rest and repair, and no time for outdoors activity the body accumulates a lot of acidity called toxins. Dry skin and dry lips is a clear indication that you need to up your raw to create that much needed balance. Creams and oils, will only provide external relief but root cause remains same that body needs internal hyrdration at cellular level. Along with these you need to figure out what is causing all the ‘drying up’ i.e lack of rest, lack of proper sleep, too much ‘ontime’, too much gadget time, too less time in sunlight and fresh air. You may eat all the right foods yet, all these factors may will increase your acidic levels and thus reduce the good impact of hydrating foods. Here are few immediate actions you may take: Eating more raw, fresh, whole plant based foods. You can read about it here. Eating in accordance to Circadian Rhythm of body. You can read about it here. Sunlight and breathing are two easiest, natural and most effective way to create alkaline reserves within body and to support body to clean up effectively. So increase your time for both. Start slow, 15 minutes daily. Increase it slowly and steadily. Sleeping & resting: Allow enough downtime to your body. Reduce the load of gadgets as they also consume your energy and increase acidic load. Give yourself enough downtime in evening towards night to ensure body continues to be in rhythm of nature.

Do regular steam with mouth open. That really helps. Hydrate from inside too, which means increase veg juices, fruits and salads. Reduce milk and grains – thats very important!
Hello. I am pregnant. I am experiencing day long nausea & loss of appetite. I'm concerned as i should be eating more rather than eating less!!

Keep your meal portions small. Incorporate a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Be sure to eat fruits alone, not mixed with other meal items. Also do know, that nature has designed procreation in such a way that, at this moment your baby will derive all the nourishment from your reserves. So the eating is to replenish your reserves. The nausea is a phase, and feel reassured that desire to eat will come back, which is when the baby needs real nourishment.
My husband is having loose motions for the past 4 days. Any idea what to do?
Rishi Arya
10:58 AM | 19-11-2018
Your husband needs to rest a lot and allow body to do its job of cleaning up. Fevers, loose motions, cold and cough are mechanisms of the body to eliminate excess toxins. When our body’s acid-alkaline balance is skewed towards higher acidity the body, sets these functions in motion and restore the balance. Thus here, ample rest is the key. Allow the toxicity to come out, have faith that body is healing. Rest is meant 3 ways here, physically, mentally and even digestively. Anar are effective plus u can apply cold compress. Soak towel in cold water, squeeze it and keep it on stomach. Also, apply ginger juice on navel.
Is there a way to cook my favourite dish 'aloo matar' in a healthy way?
Swatantra
10:50 AM | 17-11-2018
The most simple way of doing same is by steaming. Steaming helps to retain the nutritional value. Steam potato, peas and tomatoes. In your cooking pan, add little water and roast onion. Then add steamed tomatoes and prepare gravy. Add your required species and add steamed potatoes and peas. Garnish same with coriander leaves and enjoy your healthy way of favourite Aloo Matar. Hope it turns out good.
I have been feeling very thirsty off late n have been sipping water often. What could be the reason?
Ankur Bhatia
12:07 PM | 16-11-2018
You may notice that sipping only water may not be really quenching your thirst. Excessive thirst indicates the following: Your ‘energy consumption’ is higher vs. what you are adding to replenish. That your consumption of raw hydrating foods is lower vs. cooked foods that demand more water for digestion That you may be spending a lot of energy through overactive mind, work office stress, anxious emotions etc. This is heating you up That your recharging of the body and cooling down through natural means is on lower side ie through connecting with sunshine, grass fresh air, and nature overall is low. When excessive thirst strikes best is to up your fruits intake. You can increase this amply and feel the difference. Eat seasonal fruits and a variety. Start your day with good 2-3 rounds of fruits; each time eat till you are full and wait for an hour or so for hunger to strike again then eat another round. Fruits take the least amount of energy to digest and have almost 90% + water content, which is easily absorbed by our bodies so do not undermine this! Soaking dry fruits and having them is another way of eating fruits and keeping yourself hydrated. Cut down you tea, coffee, and any other sources of caffeine. Similarly cut down your packages processed foods drastically which are high on sugar and salt (ie bread, market bought sauces, refined oil, refined flour, refined sugar, table salt etc). Instead every time you feel thirsty, go for a fruit (Yes, it works!). Only thing you have to remember is to eat the fruit alone either 30-45 minutes before meals or 2 hours after.
Dear all,Anyone has any inputs regarding typhoid? Hubby is detected with it and in bad shape. He had severe vomiting and fainting spells last week and this was diagnosed in the blood test.
Anchal Kapur
02:40 PM | 03-09-2018
Hi. Your husband’s body seems to be acidic in nature, hence the typhoid. Germs need an acidic medium to grow and proliferate. Thus any illness (bacterial or viral) happens mainly cause our body acts as the host. We have higher toxicity due to multiple reasons such as processed foods, over consumption of dairy, grains and non veg, lack of ample fruits and veggies and raw in food, lack of proper rest and downtime to repair, lack of sunlight and fresh air, stress etc. You must focus on restoring the acid-alkaline balance of the body. Increase alkaline foods such as fruits and raw veggies. Reduce acidic foods such as grains, dairy, refined oil, refined salt, refined sugar and packaged foods. Increase his immunity by giving lemon-haldi-ginger-honey every 3-4 hours. Rest is extremely important and so is sunning.... good luck dear, hope he feels better soon
