I have this long running itching issue in my body and none of mainstream (Allopathy, Homeo, Ayurveda, naturopathy) seems to have worked. There is itching after interaction with water (bath, pool, rain drench etc) in almost entire body except lower side of hand/legs, butt and face. It last for 20-30 mins. Can someone throw some light on the why and on similar experience, if any?

Hi! Rest, relaxation and focusing on sleep to restore the balance – may be the key here. The body always does work towards the optimum health. For health, thoughts and emotions play a very role. How are you emotionally, frenzied, anxious, holding onto a lot from the past? It may be worth looking into and important to cool down the frenzied thoughts. Maybe for the next few months, you could look at seriously connecting with nature both at the physical and mental level. Nature is the best relaxant and the best coolant. Go gardening, re-establish your connect with the soil, and grass Walk on wet grass (as you mentioned that part does not react) Absorb more of the sun (not the heating afternoon one, but early morning fresh air one) Breathing and Yoga are also known to help with ‘incurable’ ailments (Isha foundation especially focuses breathing to heal within) Mediation is a great tool - you may want to attempt it to help you bring the balance back!
I have periodontal disease and been researching natural ways to help with it. I read that oil pulling can help with gum inflammation and tighten loose teeth. Any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to what Pramodji has suggested, I would advice that you go on water fasting for one day and then followed by juice fasting for one day and then followed by fruit fasting the third day and then full raw for 10 days ensuring that you don’t chew vegetables so much but taking it more in vegetable juice form and then chew some soft vegetables like tomatoes, capsicum etc In future, please brush twice daily with a vegan toothpaste and floss daily. Avoid diary, meat , fried , sweets of all forms except dates and fruits from your lifestyle. If any of these have comforted you in the past, they have also led you to this stage. So better to say goodbye to them. After those 13 days of routine I mentioned, you can fast till 12 and then have fruits for lunch, followed by veg salad and veg juice and a simple cooked food in the night.

My 14 year old daughter has been getting a lot of pimples off late. Have tried giving her lot of fruits and keep her hydrated, not of much use. She is very frustrated. I don’t want to put her on any medication, is there any natural remedy?

Its true. I have a daughter who has small acne on her forehead too. She has healthy eating habits and we use only whole foods at home that are organic. At this age there will be some harmonal fluctuations and over time it will stabilize. Turmeric helps..but healing is typically an inside out approach and not outside in. Unless she is on full raw / high raw with only dinner cooked, body will continue to act funny in this age.
Hi! My daughter has very dry hair that become difficult to manage. Any suggestion on some natural shampoos to get rid of dryness?

I can tell you two things - First - It's best to avoid chemical based harsh shampoos and conditioners. You may feel theywill improve your hair, but trust me its only short term. Look around for natural ingredients based shampoo. I know someone in Gurgaon, my neighbor in fact, who does natural shampoos, free from SLS, paraben, etc. If you want I can put you in touch with her. 2nd - All my life I had dry hair. They looked very rough. But since 2015, when I changed my diet to whole plant based, my hair became shiny & manageable. No matter what you do externally for your daughter's hair, pls don't ignore that she has to be well nourished from within too. Fruits, a generous serving every morning & evening, fruit juices, fruit smoothies, veggie juices, coconut water - basically look for high water content food.
Strawberry Black Grapes Slush
This simple to make, healthy fruits ensemble is yet another all time favourite. You could quickly blend ripe strawberries and sweet, black grapes to pour out a glass full of fruit power. It's a visual delight too! Strawberriesand black grapes both come into season for a very short time, during Jan to Mar period. Bring your favourite glasses out and make the most of the nature's bounty!

Raw bananas may be steamed with peel. Once steamed then the ends may be cut and whole banana with peel may be used.

Hi all, our bodies signal even the minutest one is actually body’s greatest communication tool. It is telling you that you need to do some correction. Our body maintains an acid-alkaline balance, and every time we put more load on the body through wrong foods, late hours, no time to rest and repair, and no time for outdoors activity the body accumulates a lot of acidity called toxins. Dry skin and dry lips is a clear indication that you need to up your raw to create that much needed balance. Creams and oils, will only provide external relief but root cause remains same that body needs internal hyrdration at cellular level. Along with these you need to figure out what is causing all the ‘drying up’ i.e lack of rest, lack of proper sleep, too much ‘ontime’, too much gadget time, too less time in sunlight and fresh air. You may eat all the right foods yet, all these factors may will increase your acidic levels and thus reduce the good impact of hydrating foods. Here are few immediate actions you may take: Eating more raw, fresh, whole plant based foods. You can read about it here. Eating in accordance to Circadian Rhythm of body. You can read about it here. Sunlight and breathing are two easiest, natural and most effective way to create alkaline reserves within body and to support body to clean up effectively. So increase your time for both. Start slow, 15 minutes daily. Increase it slowly and steadily. Sleeping & resting: Allow enough downtime to your body. Reduce the load of gadgets as they also consume your energy and increase acidic load. Give yourself enough downtime in evening towards night to ensure body continues to be in rhythm of nature.
My mom is allergic to dust. Her nose starts running and head becomes heavy with dust. She takes cetrizine. Any suggestion for natural relief?

:) reminds me of a close friend who was almost addicted to cetrizine the same way! But can also understand the need for relief because the reaction can really make it impossible to be functional. Everyone is looking for “quick fix” :) And thats the lesson. Plz suggest her to rest rest rest. ?? If she cannot follow a regimented routine just listening to the body and being patient - she will notice a shift. I'd remind my friend to take a 15min power nap (total rest) and then if she wants she can pop the pill. Next time i'd suggest 30 min and so on. And now she has shifted gradually to not reaching out for a pill at the first instance. Hope this works!!
Chopped Cucumber Coconut Salad
Available in abundance during the summer months, cucumber is the king of vegetables for a summer salad. With its high water content, its a must have to keep you hydrated in summers. Variate the cut of cucumber in each salad (chopped, chunky, sliced, half moon, like noodles) and you have different tasting salad. Add a different nut (coconut, peanut, sesame) and it lends more variety. This recipe puts together crunchy cucumbers with fresh coconut. It's a very basic, quick to do salad with a south Indian style tempering. Goes well with a simple dal-chawal meal or can be served with almost anything.
