Hello Aruna,

Eye health greatly depends on our diet, lifestyle and sleeping pattern. Using excessive electronic equipments like computer, laptops, TV, etc, pollution, dust and stress may lead to eye problems.
For healthy eyes, some lifestyle and dietary changes are necessary.

Diet

  • Start the day with a glass of warm water. This will help to remove the toxins out of the body.
  • Include Vitamin C in your diet like have lemon juice or orange or amla.
  • Have soaked nuts, dry fruits and sprouts to get the easily absorbable nutrients.
  • Have carrots, fresh green leafy vegetables like spinach and fresh fruits.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day to be hydrated.

Habits

  • Put gulab jal in your eyes.
  • Wash the eyes with cold water 3 to 4 times a day.
  • Make a habit of doing exercise or yoga daily.
  • Perform ardha shirsha asana, parvat asana as they will improve the blood circulation.
  • Avoid excessive use of electronic devices like mobiles, laptops, tv, computers, etc.
  • Walk barefoot on grass early in the morning.
  • Soak sunrays early in the morning.

Sleep

Lack of sleep and stress may cause eye issues like burning, itching. Hence, have a proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning.

Instead of using any electronic pieces of equipment, read books before sleeping. This will improve the quality of sleep.

Hello User,

A cataract is caused due to opacity in the eye lens which does not allow a clear vision, it mostly starts from childhood or every during birth time. Cataract being congenital in nature is highly influenced by the way of lifestyle our earlier generation has lived, more than focussing on how to cure the problem. Our main aim in dealing with punctate cataract is how we stop our eyes from going under further damage due to congenital issue.

With the following tips, you will surely protect your eyes.

Eat:

Start the day with two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out the toxins and improve the state of metabolism by increasing it. The next thing is the inclusion of vegetable juice in your breakfast as this will help in giving the right amount of energy for the day and also, it is an easier way to absorb all the nutrients. Keep at least two hours gap between your food and your sleep timing at night.

  • Include seeds in his diet like flax seeds and chia seeds which increases optical health and increase eye strength.
  • Almonds, spinach, oranges, fenugreek leaves, coriander are good sources of Vitamin which helps in protecting the eyes.

Here is some list of exercises which is highly recommended for you in your state which will help in strengthening your eye muscles.

1. Changing the focus of your eyes from one side when you are deeply concentrating on another, do it slowly take at least 5-10 seconds.

With this exercise, your eyes will stay protected from further damage.

Meditation:

Stop using the gadget an hour before sleep, you can use a fragrant diffuser where you can use essential oils and then with the smell itself you will start feeling calm. Rosemary and lavender oil will be helpful. These things will help him relieve stress and help him deal with the situation.

Take 10 long deep breaths, and allow your body to relax, any thought which comes, let it go do not resist. Say the affirmation, "I am healthy and happy" with each breath. This will help in curbing all your issues even in the long run.

Sleep:

The sleep is a very important part of treating any mental symptom, a sleep cycle of 90 minutes should be completed in order to get a sound body. This sleep cycle should be repeated 5 times. This makes 7-8 hours of healthy sleep. This will make the body and mind strong and refreshing. Make sure the room is gadget-free an hour before sleep.
